Introducing.....

Our New PUPPY! His name is Ramses Duke and he is the sweetest little guy ever! We are all absolutely smitten. And he is....well....a little nervous still....but I'm sure he'll warm up to us:)

He's doing really well at going potty outside and so far, we have no complaints. It's been less than 24 hours though, so I'm sure they will come with time.

Glutton for Punishment and Food.

Since his birth Bear has rolled off the doctor's chair/table(2 week appt.), rolled off of the changing table in our house twice(3 and 4 months), and most recently, face planted off of a mattress and onto the soft cement flooring of IKEA(a week ago Sat, requiring the IKEA medic to check him out and call to check up on him), rolled down a flight of 13 stairs(yesterday), been locked in the car for over an hour(today), and face planted into the cement driveway after standing on a rolling object(also today).

I swear this child is just willing his way to the hospital. Here's a picture of his most recent incident.

On a happier, sillier note...of my two little boys Bear is the better eater. He has started making the funniest faces when we give him food. I tried to catch it on "film" and this is the best I got. And it's pretty cute.

He's starting to look like such a little boy and not a baby anymore. (A tear!)

There's my little baby Bear, or "Bay-Bear" as he's commonly called around here.

Goal #1 for 2010

Goal #1 for 2010 was to become homeowners and on March 11, 2010, after an almost 2 month closing process, we finally did close and sign the papers on our first home. This is the wonderful snowman created with the 7 inches of snow we received on moving day. Thank you, Mother Nature.(Note: Bear only came outside for the photo op and was not making the snowman in his socks and Sunday clothes.)

Now, we are finishing the fixing up process and trying to get settled. I think I've completed all the painting on the upstairs rooms except for the dining room, which at this point, is just going to have to wait.

We were planning on putting the flooring down in the living room but it came time to set our priorities in order, so that is going to wait until the end of April when the flooring that we want should be going on sale. And in the mean time, we're getting a puppy to destroy the place!

We'll pick him up on Friday and I'll share pictures then I'm sure.

Here are some before and after pictures of the rooms we've completed.

This is obviously the boys room. I wasn't sure about the yellow when we picked it but I think it turned out really good, especially with the wall hanging.

Not a huge change here but this is the master. It's a much richer brown than before.

There is still so much to be done. And although we get much less sleep than we'd like, it is so worth it to have our own place and there is joy in the work. Also, the living room is painted but I'm not revealing it until it's done.......okay, maybe I'll give you a sneak peak:) These are our two final choices for flooring, feel free to comment on your favorite.

Just can't get enough of these.

We are learning that the simplest things make Bear laugh like crazy. I'm lovin' every minute of it. And more than happy to be a complete idiot if this is the reaction that I get. I love being a mom. Thank you Connor for being the goofy one this time around.

Helping Daddy.

Sam was helping his dad finish this cabinet in their house while they were away over the last month and Connor, of course, wanted to help Daddy. Here are some pictures of the manly men doing their thing. Power tools included.

A House Update.

Hopefully, this is the week when it all comes together. At the beginning of last week, we found out that we would need to put carpet and tile down before we could get our loan closed, due to some silly FHA regulations. So anyway, we've spent the better part of the week getting things ready for the appraiser.

Thanks to a friends dad and brother, the carpet was all laid today and we finished up the laminate tiling on Saturday night. Since carpet got laid early, we did some painting early as well. So here are all the "before" pictures of the house. And the one "after" picture of the Den. This room is just about ready for furniture so I'm sharing it earlier than the rest that still need painting and other touches before we move in.

The Backyard (Killer, I know!)

The floor to ceiling Pink Living Room. (I'm thinking of keeping it this way....)

The kitchen. So glad that I don't have to do anything in here but update appliances.

Moose ears in my dining room(Don't ask. That's for you, Dad.)

The Den into the dining room.
My craft room(Before the flooring went in)
The Fruit Room(Hello, Food Storage)

The Blue Room in the basement

The Other Pink room....in the basement
The finished Den. Woot Woot!

The finished basement floor. This took forever, btw.

So now, hopefully, the next time I post anything, we will be the owners of this home that we have already put lots of dollars and hours of labor into.
Prayers are appreciated:)

Pictures for Gramma Bee

The boys were all fancied up this Sunday in clothes from Gramma Bee so I thought I'd post them here for all to see.
