Happy New Year

I was given this the other day and I don't know who the author is but it was just too funny not to share!

Happy New Year

I want you to be the first to send Happy New Year greetings...

As I reflect on 2008, I can say we had a great year:
Blacks are happy; Obama was elected.
Whites are happy; OJ is in jail.
Democrats are happy; George Bush is leaving office.

Republicans are happy; Democrats will finally quit saying George Bush stole the election.
And all of us are happy; The election is finally over!

2009 should be even better: Immediately after his inauguration, Obama will balance the budget, revive the economy, solve the real estate problem, solve the auto industry problem, solve our gas/alternative energy problem, stop the fires and mudslides in California, ban hurricanes and tornadoes, stop identity theft, reverse global warming, find Osama, solve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, get rid of corruption in government and achieve world peace. Then on the 7th day, he will rest.

Best wishes for 2009!

Bear being cute!

I just posted a bunch of pictures of Connor so I figured as a proud mama, I should post a few of my other little boy who is not quite so active yet.

Helping Fix the Dryer

When we decided to move into this place, we knew we would need to somehow purchase a washer and dryer to keep ourselves out of either the laundromat or Sam's parents house. We moved in last Saturday and on Monday Sam's uncle happened across a FREEwasher and dryer set. It was one of those wonderful tender mercies of our Heavenly Father.
There were some minor repairs that needed to be done on the dryer and Connor just had to be in the middle of the action while Sam and his dad were working on it. I wish I had a video camera for this. But I'll post a couple of the different maneuvers he used to wiggle his way in to see what was going on. It was hilarious!

Good news...thanks to Connor(and his helpers), the dryer works great!

Building Towers and Making Cookies

Connor had fun this week building a tower out of blocks. He loved smacking the top part off and then rebuilding it too!

We also made gingerbread cookies together. He loved using the rolling pin and then eating the extra dough (and some of the uncooked gingerbread men too!)

One Month Old

I can't believe it but Bear is a month old already. Here are a couple pictures to celebrate the occasion.

Packing for the move

As many of you have probably heard, we are moving to Stansbury Park this weekend. I've had my hands full taking care of the boys and trying to get us packed up. Connor has been a big help;) Here is a picture of his idea about helping mommy pack.

For all of you with little boys, cardboard boxes make the BEST toys, broken down or taped together. Connor has spent hours in and out of boxes the past few weeks.
