Proof!

Well, Bear has had teeth on top since he was less than 7 months old and he broke all four at once. However, I haven't been able to get a good picture to prove it until he was laying on my lap giggling today.  He was playing with his formula bottle and gave me some fantastic snapshot opportunities.

Pseudo Reunion

It's been 10 years since I moved away from Stuttgart, Germany.  Many of the friends I had during the two years while there, I've kept in contact with and miraculously, many of us have ended up here in Utah.

Rachael had her baby shower for her first baby on Thursday and there were a whopping 6 of us from Stuttgart there.  It was such a blast!

4 of us were in Young Women's together and 2 of us were our YW leaders.  We had so much fun talking about our kids and birth stories.

Kind of amazing too that out of the four "YW" that were there, all of us had natural child births with no medication except Rachael who is making plans right now to have a natural birth.  It was so fun to talk about what worked and didn't work for us and give her some hopefully, helpful pointers.  She is going to do such a great job and have a beautiful birth.  I can't wait to meet that little boy!

Dog Sitting

This is a couple weeks old but the pictures were just so cute I had to post them.  We dog sat for a couple of friends of ours and Connor loved it.  He's getting used to dogs still so it was challenging at some moments but these puppies were so fun to play with.

Introducing Mr. Gibbs:

This shot was taken with him jumping on my back while I snapped the shot over my head.

Introducing Sparrow:

She wasn't quite as interested in the camera as Mr. Gibbs but she loved chasing Connor.

Mr. Gibbs was also very curious about Bear.  I had to keep Bear up high so that he couldn't climb in the car seat with him.

Thanks Danny and Maddie for a fun week of watching your pooches!

Sunday BBQ and my 100th Post....a milestone!

We took advantage of the community grill's on Sunday and had some fun as a family at the park there.

Mommy and Daddy took turns with Connor rolling down the hill. It was a riot!

Bear was being picky about what he wanted to eat for dinner and ended up with Green Beans all over his face.  He seemed pretty happy about it though.

Girls Night Out!

It's been a few weeks since this happened but I figured I should document it here anyways.  A bunch of my girlfriends and I went to Karaoke night to celebrate a friends birthday.  It was super fun! After we got kicked out of karaoke, we stayed up super late playing Pit and other card games. Here are some pictures of the evening.

Nine Months Old!

Yep, another month has passed and Bear is nine months old. He was in a pretty happy mood yesterday so I got the camera out and tried to get some cute shots of him playing but he was more interested in the camera than the toys.

Some fun things about Bear these days:

1. He HATES babyfood.  He would much rather choke down pasta, cereal, bread, or (get THIS) Spinach Quiche.  That's what I made for dinner the other night(so yummy!) and so that's what he had too!

2. He loves being held and will only sit on the floor and play by himself if I sneak away without him realizing it.
3. He crawls everywhere but he doesn't normally do it on two knees and two hands like other children, he does it on two hands, one knee and one foot.  Very cute.  Instead of having two dirty knees, he only gets one and one dirty foot.4. He loves walking(while supported) all over the place.  Crawling doesn't seem to be fast enough for him.

5. He has 8 teeth, 4 top and 4 bottom. psssst.....don't stick your fingers in his mouth!

6. He is such a mama's boy.  I know this is probably his age but he cries whenever I leave or hand him off to someone else for a change.  Cute sometimes, annoying others.

7. He chews on everything. And not just the normal things that babies chew on.  He's a big fan of our cast iron coffee table.  Weird....
I love him to pieces and I'm so grateful that he is a part of our little family.
