Update: Ramses Duke

His first night at home seems like a long time ago.
He is so much a part of the family now.
I tried to get a similar shot to his first puppy one. Crazy how much he's grown. He's cuter with his ears forward. See Below.

We always wanted two dogs but now I'm not sure if I want to take a chance getting a puppy who is not so easy to train and willing to learn. He is such a blessing to all of our lives. We love you, Ramser.

I finally got his name tag today. Now, it's official. He's stuck with us.

Crying

Do you ever have those moments where you just are so happy you could cry? ME TOO! Well, today, unfortunately it happened in the middle of a solo in sacrament meeting. And to be clear, this isn't someone else singing a solo....this was MY solo. Not exactly the best time and place to get all teary eyed and have your voice completely disappear.

Here I was singing a really pretty song and then I heard Bear from the audience start to make, what I can only assume was him singing, noises. I was completely composed and everything before that. And then, I just came unraveled.

Oh well, some other time I'll redeem myself. Maybe then I'll hold it together.....that's if they ever ask me to sing again:)

It was a good, worthwhile cry though.

Our new fence

Kids and dog are now officially penned in. Muah ahahahahaha!

I love my husband. This is a really great looking fence for a really small price. I'm super impressed.

His 'Hunnie Do' list is just getting smaller and smaller. He's so amazing. Now, onto finishing the quilting table. We thought it was done last week but it turns out we need to do a few more things.

Oh and then, we are going to do the living room floor. Then hopefully, he'll get some time to do his own fun projects.

Thanks for all you do, baby.

Chuck E Cheese

I think the last time I went to Chuck E Cheese was when I was about 8 years old....literally. It wasn't really that big of a thing for our family. So when Gramma Sally offered to take my kids and my cousin, Vanessa's kids to Chuck E Cheese while she is visiting from Texas, I was kind of surprised that I'd never thought of that idea myself.

Needless to say, Braxton, Connor and Bear had a BLAST! Little Brooklyn was just happy as a clam smiling at me and Gramma.

I should've gotten a shot of Vanessa and I. Ooops.

Thanks Gramma for a fun day!

Nothing in Particular

I don't really have a specific occasion that I wanted to document but it's been a couple weeks since I've posted and I'm feeling really really grateful for all that I have and can do.

So here are a few pictures of what we've been up to recently.

Making the master bedroom(and the rest of the house) look wonderful. Thanks to my amazing husband who made the bed frame, hung the pictures, and hung the sweet globe lamp and amazing closet doors. Now if we can get the fence finished, the quilting table adjusted, the laminate flooring put in.....etc. etc. :) I love you babe!
Going on a fun camping trip(albeit freezing cold) with good friends and all the chilluns. Yes, she has four and a dog and I have two and a dog.....plus, two husbands.....it was quite the adventure.

Playing in the Gunnison Reservoir down near Delta.

Growing a Garden of Corn, Pumpkins, Beans, Cucumbers, Carrots, Yellow Squash, Zucchini Squash, Watermelons and Strawberries. Not to mention all the amazing fruit trees we have in the yard(Peaches, Apricots, Plums, Apples, Grapes and Blackberries) that I don't have to tend at all to yield wonderous vegetation!
Ramses first bath. He LOVED it. Which was surprising since he HATES going outside in the rain and won't even walk on wet pavement unless forced.

Hope this was a good mini update. I'm so grateful for my family and friends. And all the good things we have to enjoy in this life.

Update: Ramses Duke aka RamsaRoo

Ramses has been with our family for two months now and I thought it would be good to do an update on the little stinker.

Forgive the bootie shot, but I just couldn't resist documenting his choice of cushy spots.

Or this one.....
Or this one.....
Poising for the camera. What a cutie.
Playing on the playground with the boys.
He loved the slide. It was so funny!

Posing for the camera.
